ABOUT IDEA
A Welcoming Yarn Store for the Western Suburbs of Chicago
At Idea Studio, we greet you with a smile and offer help (if you need it!) to select the right yarns, tools, or colors for your project. Our goal is to have every customer leave inspired and feeling confident! It's in our name -- we love coming up with lots of ideas for successful projects. Whether you're a knitter, crocheter, felter, needlepointer, or jewelry maker, we've got you covered!
Nancy and Chandra Reynolds are two sisters-in-law that own and operate Idea Studio Needle Arts. Both have an art background, and use the understanding of color theory and pattern to create an interesting project. The mission has always been to keep people doing exciting projects! Both have a creative spirit, and enjoy the process of working with fibers and spreading the love of crafting! By selecting woman and minority owned products among the many larger manufacturers in the store, they also try to promote a living wage across the world for everyone!
At Idea Studio, you will find one of the largest variety of fibers offered in the western suburbs. We try to cater to all preferences and uses of yarns. From hand and kettle dyed to manufacturers standards, we try to offer it all! Babies require machine washable and dryable yarns for the most part, but cashmere or angora are also part of the baby wardrobe! Structured wools as well as drapey fibers all have their place in sweaters, scarves or hats. Our goal is to offer some options in every category of project, so what's in your head can come to life!
