In 1871, the Chicago Fire destroyed nearly every structure in the city. Among the few that survived, the Water Tower stood as a symbol of hope, and in 1872 the rebuilding began.

Remember the 150th anniversary of Chicago rising from the ashes with this cowl in either fiery reds or watery blues. The cowl is knit in the round in a two-color stranded pattern. You do not need to weave any of the floats, as they will be hidden on the inside of the tube. Just remember to keep the floats loose so they allow for stretching in the blocking!

Make the red or blue (MC) the dominant color by carrying it underneath the background color while stranding.
