Ruffles Scarf for Beginning Knitters

Beginning Knitting 1

Learn all the basics of knitting in this 4 part class. First learn how to cast-on, knit, purl, and bind-off with a simple piece that will be used as part of a charity afghan. Then, go on to a project of your choice. By the time you're done, you'll have learned increases, decreases, and how to follow a pattern too!

This is a continuing knitting class that keeps you learning and working on a project of your choice. We will work at your speed to learn more techniques and use different tools. You'll be confident enough to try some advanced patterns because we will work right with you.

Learn how to dye your yarn with Kool Aid food dyes and then use your colorway to create an intentionally pooled scarf. With the correct pattern, the colors will stack and create vertical stripes!
